About the Ocean State Business Expo & Networking Event

Founded in 2009 by Jay White and Peter George, the Expo quickly became a vital hub for local entrepreneurs. In 2011, Susan Lataille joined the production team, bringing new energy, community focus, and extensive event experience. Together with Rick Lataille, who joined in 2019, the team brings over 60 years of combined event production and business leadership to this dynamic networking experience.

After a short hiatus, the trio is back—with a renewed commitment to supporting the small business community and delivering a standout expo for 2025.

Canned Soup Food Drive to Benefit Feed RI

Feed RI, formerly known as We Share Hope, is a food rescue nonprofit organization that has rebranded to better reflect its mission of providing reliable access to food across Rhode Island. While its primary operations are based in Rumford, Feed RI serves the broader state, including East Providence, through its food distribution network and community programs. The organization partners with over 75 nonprofit groups to rescue surplus food from local stores, restaurants, and corporate partners, delivering it to those in need.

The network includes their seventeen school food pantries, five library free food cupboards, and community food distribution partners like Providence Rescue Mission and MAE Organization. Soup donations will be distributed to all programs.
